Christ is truly risen from the dead, that love, that life that cannot die we sing at Easter. Jesus, the eternal son of the Father, God made man, did really die and was buried and we must never forget that. The glory of the Resurrection does not cancel Good Friday. As we sing on Easter Day in the great Anthem Victimae Paschali Laudes - Death and life have contended in that combat stupendous: the Prince of life, who died, reigns immortal.
Following on from the Great Easter Vigil, the Church marks the 50 days of Easter with great joy and celebration. In fact every Sunday is a recollection of Easter. The 50 days and Sundays of Easter are celebrated with a special joy and character. At St Martin in Roath we repeat the Liturgy of Easter Day on each of the Sundays leading to Pentecost.
You are welcome to join us at St Martin in Roath
This is a glorious time of the year and as the weeks of Easter move along we have time enough to contemplate, proclaim, and celebrate the Lord's Resurrection.
WELCOME TO ST MARTINS AT
Do join us at any Mass this Easter. Invite others to join us, we encourage you to renew your faith and even discover it in a new way. As the Risen Lord told Mary Magdalene in the Garden – 'Go tell my brothers I go before them to Galilee and I will meet them there'. The same Lord, through his Church tells us all to go forward in life’s journey to wherever our Galilee may be.
He will meet us there – that is his promise. Do not be afraid says the Lord, I am alive for evermore. Easter celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus from dead. It also confirms and celebrates our own new and risen life in him.
We are a happy diverse mixture of people from various backgrounds, ages and life styles. Together we seek to grow in faith and live the precepts and values of the kingdom. We are encouraged by our diversity and seek to affirm and encourage one another.
